Greenpoint Montessori, founded in 2019, is a one-room schoolhouse in Brooklyn! We follow a child-centered approach to learning, guided by the philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori. This specially prepared environment provides children with opportunities to grow and learn by following their natural tendencies. By working with hands-on materials that grow concepts of sensorial intelligence, practical life skills, math, language, science, culture and peace education, children build their brains independently. In this mixed age classroom, children join together as peers and mentors, helping each other grow and learn.
